Appointments
The initial consultation will be quite extensive. We will get to know both
you and your pet and get a thorough history of your pets health issues.
After reviewing the history (please bring all of your pets past medical
records from your other veterinarian), Dr. Johanson will examine your pet
(if they are present and not too sick to travel to the office) and together
you will devise a treatment plan. Please plan to arrive early and expect to
stay approximately one hour.
Follow up consults and wellness exams are generally less extensive and are
scheduled for 25 minute periods.

What You Need To Bring On Your First Visit
-
Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time
in order for you to fill out any paperwork and to allow your dog to
relieve himself outside. We are extremely vigilant about keeping
appointments on time in order to reduce the stress/anxiety to your pet of
being in a new place.
-
We encourage you to bring a fresh stool and urine sample with you.
-
Please bring all prior medical records (or at least the past 2 years). If
possible, please fax them to the office ahead of time so that Dr. Johanson
has a chance to review them before you arrive. Our fax # (973) 292-3686.
-
Please bring all supplements and medications your pet is currently on.
(Yes, bring the actual bottles) It is also helpful to bring the ingredient
list from your pet’s food for Dr. Johanson to review.
-
If you have a new animal (puppy, kitten or newly adopted older pet),
please bring a teaspoon-sized stool sample with you. The stool sample
should be fresh within 24 hours

"Peaches" is a Cancer Survivor! |
As a courtesy, cell phone use is NOT permitted while in the office.
We at Three Rivers Holistic Veterinary Services value your time and our
scheduling is designed to keep us ‘on time’ for your appointment. Your
timely arrival and informing us in advance of and time constraints will
greatly help us keep everyone happy (including nervous dogs and kitties- who
don’t like to wait either!)
Cancellations
Everyone’s time is valuable. We block off a significant amount of time for
each appointment and a missed appointment means that another sick pet may
have been turned away. Please give us 24 hours notice if you are unable to
keep your appointment. ‘No shows’ or late cancellations may be subject to a
fee equal to that of an initial consultation. We appreciate your
understanding and courtesy.
Payments
Payment is expected at the time of your appointment.
We accept cash, checks and Visa/ Mastercard
